Dental Veneers in Steyning, Sussex

If you have cracked or chipped teeth, whose appearance you’d like to improve so you don’t have to feel embarrassed when you open your mouth, our dental veneers are the perfect solution. A dental veneer is a thin layer of porcelain, or composite resin, which is bonded to the front of the damaged tooth. It will both protect your tooth from further damage and give you a more flattering smile.

Restore confidence in your smile

Dental Veneers in Steyning, Sussex - Benefits & CostDental veneers are also useful for closing small gaps in your teeth. Your dental veneer will be custom fitted, unique to you and very discreet. People who see your dental veneer are unlikely to realise your tooth isn’t entirely natural.

  • Prevent the need for a crown
  • Improves the appearance of a damaged tooth
  • Protects broken teeth from further damage
  • Colour-matched to your tooth for a natural look
  • Applied by skilled dentists

A small amount of enamel may be removed from the tooth to ensure that your dental veneer will fit well. An impression will then be taken of your tooth and sent to the lab in order to have the dental veneer created.

Once the dental veneer is sent back to our practice near Brighton, we will bond your dental veneer to your tooth. Your smile will be enhanced and your damaged tooth will be protected.

FAQs Everything you need to know

Why do I need a veneer?
Veneers are used to correct worn enamel, uneven tooth alignment and spacing issues. Discoloured teeth, chipped and cracked teeth will also benefit from a veneer and prevent the need for a crown.

Will it hurt?
We practice pain-free dentistry and so will do everything we can to ensure you’re comfortable throughout the treatment.

What does having a veneer involve?
Your teeth will be filed and shaped to receive the veneer. Impressions will be made and temporary veneers fitted while your permanent veneer is made in the lab. When your permanent veneer is sent back to your dentist, another appointment will be made to have it bonded to your teeth with resin cement.

How long does it take to have a veneer fitted?
Every veneer is different, but it is possible to have a veneer fitted within two or three weeks.

Can veneers harm your teeth?
Usually no more than half a millimetre is removed from the tooth enamel. This is not enough to endanger your teeth. One of the primary functions of veneers is to protect teeth, which are damaged.

This review is for Tesh the hygenist. I honestly can't recommend Tesh more highly. He is incredibly thorough and clearly knows what he's doing. Tesh is so good I have upped the amount of times I see him to every four months rather than every six. He keeps detailed notes of every visit so he can carefully track how I'm doing and help me target specific areas of concern. As I am getting older keeping my gums healthy becomes more important as I really want to keep as many teeth as possible in old age! Tesh is always upbeat, very encouraging and also keen to know how I and my family are doing.
